Minister Lona Beckford Visits Higher Ground![]() Minister Lona Beckford, the northeast Regional Women director has never been to our local church before and was eager to do so. After hearing of her planned visit, we were anxious to have her here at Higher Ground as our special guest.
on the weekend of her coming to speak at Higher Ground, she first went to Allegheny then to Buffalo We she arrived at Higher Ground, there was no sign of fatigue. You can say that she was rejuvenated by the Holy Spirit. She preached a powerful message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She encourage the congregation to not be ashamed to share the gospel and to share it as God makes the opportunity for us to do so. We were bless and was encouraged by the Word that she brought from God. Below is a short bio of minister Lona Beckford: Lona Beckford is a dynamic minister and preacher, inspired teacher and a vibrant prayer warrior. A wife of 30 years to Rudolph Beckford and a mother of 4 beautiful daughters she has dedicated her life to the furthering of the gospel. Born in St. Mary, Jamaica West indies, to parents Gertrude and Aaron Brown, her life has been filled with their wisdom, knowledge and confident guidance. At the age of 9 she accepted the Lord as her savior. At 17 she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Now an ordained minister in the Church of God of Prophecy, she now serves as the Northeast Regional Women Ministries and Pastoral Care Director. Her Ministry has expanded across the continental United States, the Caribbean, Canada and Europe as she preaches the uncompromising gospel of Jesus Christ. Minister Beckford holds an Associated Degree in Physical Therapy from LaGuardia Community College and a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Central Christian University, Minister Beckford loves the Lord with all her heart and desires that his complete will be fully accomplished in her life. |
